October 13th Release - Course Improvements, Bug Fixes, and More

Importing a course brings your worksheets with it

Course import now handles more of what you already built:

  • PDF worksheets come across as lesson materials, and your course's AI can read them when a learner asks a question about one.

  • Questions whose answer choices are pictures import properly.

  • Videos are added once, long titles no longer break, and an empty answer box in a question comes through as a blank to fill in.

  • If an imported video doesn't finish downloading, you are no longer charged for it, and anything charged in error is returned before the request even finishes.

Quiz questions can show a clock

  • Add an analog clock to a quiz question, useful for telling-the-time exercises. Your course AI can set the time for you.

  • Shapes and figures draw correctly: circles fit their polygon whatever its size, a semicircle sits on the side as drawn, and labels keep clear of the centre dots.

  • A text section can include a picture, shown above its words. Add it in the editor, or select Edit with AI to generate one.

Fill-in-the-blank questions

A quiz question can now have blanks a learner types into, and the answers are graded for you.

  • Write them in the lesson editor, with as many blanks in a sentence as you need.

  • Each blank keeps its own list of accepted answers. Adding or removing one doesn't disturb the others, and fixing a typo in a blank doesn't clear its answers.

  • The answer key stays with the question if you change the section's type.

  • Course review shows each blank as a line, with its answer key beside it.

  • Learners answer them in the course player, and they come through properly when you import a course from Canvas.

Rearranging a course from chat

  • You can now ask your AI in the course chat to move sections and lessons around, and to delete one. Learner progress stays correct through all of it.

Importing a course reads the text inside pictures

Some courses store a question as a picture of the words. Those used to arrive as an image a learner couldn't interact with.

  • Now, when a picture is only text or an equation, the words come through as the question itself, placed exactly where the picture was, with the line breaks kept. The import report tells you which questions this happened to.

  • Imported lessons also keep your original structure. One item becomes one lesson, with the same titles in the same order, instead of being regrouped.

Quiz corrections

  • An explanation now points at the right answer. When a quiz shuffles its options, the explanation's "the answer is B" follows the shuffle instead of pointing at whatever is now in that position.

  • After Start over, a quiz shows the same options it will be graded against.

  • A quiz that hasn't been delivered yet stays reachable, and tells you when credits are the reason. It retries itself once your next message goes through, instead of just failing.

  • The public course page counts every lesson.

Adding knowledge

  • Paste several links at once into the Custom URL section instead of one at a time.

  • If a link is skipped, you now see the reason for that specific link.

Credit usage

  • Receipts now name the action they were for, and a receipt for a reserved charge says what was actually taken.

  • Approving a service image once now pays for it once.

  • An image is checked against the price actually reserved for it, so you are no longer refused over the wrong figure.

  • A series of articles is checked against its cheapest step, so a long series isn't refused up front.
